I think I'm naturally drawn to mixing styles, colors, and textures. I genuinely love (or at least like) elements from every interior design project as long as it creates feeling of home, nothing can compare to being surrounded by things that remind us of being loved, safe, comfortable, and happy.

Joanna Gaines - Mixing of Materials |
"...the rules have all changed and you don’t have to be predictable! Mix an interesting textured wood with a modern element of metal for your tables. Or how about in your accessories-rustic candlesticks placed on a modern mirror for a centerpiece? This unexpected mix will bring lively interest in small doses to your rooms." - Be StylingI happen to wholeheartedly agree and don't personally like to be too predictable in any way, including my design taste. I've had such fun exercising my unpredictability in my new shop space at Scottsdale Marketplace.
Today I was able to see another project come to completion when I hung these super fantastic silver / gold leaf faux driftwood sconces.

Mid Century Green Italian Murano Glass Lamp by The Marbro Lamp Company, Los Angeles, CA |
I found several lamps by The Marbro Lamp Company online and some very similar to this on 1stdibs. This lamp is crafted with amazing quality and style of Murano glass from Italy and amazing brass work accents. (It makes me wonder if class, quality, and style really have a "design" title.....I don't think they do.)
I've been fortunate to add some spectacular antique oil paintings and these extra large bookends produced in the style of Amadeo Modigliani.
